Charlie is turning into such a big boy!

He will watch Baby Signing Times (Thanks to Rachel I get to do everything I want to)
He loves balls!
He loves ribs (he screamed when we took the bone away, I might have to start carrying one in my bag)
He loves reading stories, and when I say love he pulls out books and pulls at our laps, he will sit for 20 minutes just listening and turning pages.

The biggest step of all (since there are no real steps yet) a big boy haircut! Those are tears still in his eyes after screaming the whole way through it. Pat and I decided we would pay anything to not have to get scissors close to him, it turned out to be well worth it.

People often ask who Charlie looks like. Well here we are at roughly the same age. What do you think? I am pretty sure he is mine. (BTW That is my great grandma Mary Astor, and that is her Oscar in the background) I will be the first to tell you fame is not as fabulous as it looks.

Happy Birthday my Charlie, I can not believe it has been one year!

All I can say is my cup runneth over. Every morning you wake up jabbering in your crib, and when I walk in your room you start racing around your crib until I get on my tippy toes to reach in and rescue you. You happily stuff your face with scrambled eggs while I get my TODAY show fix and do dishes. Then we play in your toy room and you usually let me read my scriptures. Then you happily nap so I can exercise and shower and then we are off for an adventure. We go to Aunt Dani's, Gateway, Museums, shopping, any where that you can let loose.

For your birthday dinner Dad and I took you to the Pizza Factory because you love spaghetti. You will eat it until I make you stop. Every night you get a bath in the sink and after I let you play for just a little while 'we' clean your toy room. When your hair is wet it gets curly. I love your curly hair, I think you are the most beautiful baby boy ever!
For your birthday you went shopping with your Dad for a new Hot Wheel. This is his tradition he created just for the two of you.You love the Gateway Discovery, Dad really wants you to like rock climbing, and apparently you do!
You will watch Baby Signing Times almost the whole way through but you move around the room while you watch. You can do 'more', 'milk', and 'all done' (that's your favorite).

You pretty much love anything you do with your dad, he makes my life better too.

One year ago we had no idea what we were in for, we had no idea how wonderfully happy you would make us. I love you more than I can express, but if you need a visual, I don't mind it when you put your dirty hands on an outfit that I just put on, because I love you and you and your dad are the best part of my life.

charlie and i had so much fun with aunt dani today at discovery every time i tried to take his picture he did this super cheesy grin ( i really hope thats not what i look like when i smile!)

Christmas 2009

Oh how I love this wild boy. He finally crawled at exactly 10 months and within 2 weeks was pulling himself up on stuff, and now at exactly 11 months he is walking behind those walker toys. We are especially loving how he talks to his books "zigga, zigga, dzigga" This face says it all, my life with an immobile baby is over!
Yes I know it's been a while. School has begun again so I am back to my replacement friend, the internet. We had an awesome break and could not have squeezed one more ounce of fun in.

Pat stayed up way too late checking which of his 100+ HotWheel collection would work on "Charlie's" new race track. The video is Charlie watching his cars race around the track.
