2 Weeks!

I cannot believe Charlie is already 2 weeks old. At birth he weighed 8lbs 1oz and yesterday at his appointment he weighed 8lbs 7 oz. I haven't felt prideful like that in a while. It sure makes all that nursing pain worth it. This is also a glimpse of my excellent Christmas present, the "just right" chair. It makes both of us very happy at 2 am.

Moms, I love this baby gym but I don't know if it has everything I need. Is this a good one?

Smiley Charlie

Charlie is so wonderful, I can hardly believe he is a week old. My favorite thing about Charlie is that after every feeding he lets out this huge grin and it just makes me crack up. Wouldn't you?

When Pat got home from taking his Biochem test he took a bunch of pictures and a few videos with the rad HD camcorder Barrett gave us from CES. He forget the cd for the camcorder though and can't get the right codecs to get the videos online. Maybe later. Here are some good pictures though.


He's so blasted cute you can't help but kiss him.


This one is in the running for my favorite. The flash catches his blond hair really well.


This is a non-flash picture because I felt guilty after watching that Office episode where Jan freaks out telling everyone that "you don't flash around a newborn!"


I tried to capture this with his mouth open several times but this was the best I could get.

This was right after he was born. He and Pat went up to the nursery and Pat took this there. He's got lots of blond hair in the back.

Then he was here.

Now he's here and we couldn't be happier. He weighed in at 8lbs 1oz and was 20.5in long. I've still got no idea how he fit in there. Everybody is healthy, happy, and tired.

New Chair!

In preparation of Baby Charlie coming we decided to purchase a chair. Since we've been married we haven't bought any furniture so this was a big and involved purchase for me. We decided on the "Patoka" from Babinskis. I might be the only one that it fits just right but Pat, being the great hubby he is, says he'll make do.We ordered it in Camel microsuede. All I have to do is wait 4-6 weeks, tick-tock, tick-tock...
