Hallelujah

I can hardly believe the school year is over. I just finished facilitating a parenting course, and it feels terrific to have one less responsibility. For all you moms out there I was teaching "Love and Logic." It is an excellent way of raising children (it is my management technique for my classroom). Although my masters was in education a lot of the research I read was about child development, and when I study Love & Logic based on the research it just makes sense. I hope you enjoy these videos as much as I do.

Welcome Home JANIBUG

Yeah! Jani is home! January has been serving in France and I am so excited to have her home. She is a very eligible bachelorette looking to retire back in France, know any takers?

Favorite

This is my new favorite snack! Clif sells many different types of bars. The nectar bar is made of only organic ingredients, it is 2 servings of fruit, and it tastes fantastic! Imagine the costco fruit leather but thicker with nuts. Cherry Pomegranate is my fav and Cranberry Apricot and Almond is Pat's fav. You can find them at REI and Whole Foods.

Student Sayings of the week

"I just realized something, erasing actually wastes your eraser"
and as CRT testing begins I am strictly in charge of the procedure of how to fill in a 'bubble.' Apparently I was too intense because one student asked, "Is it like a law?"

When tragedy befalls you

"Don't let them bring you down
Love can cure your problem
You're so lucky I'm around
Let my love open the door
Let my love open the door
Let my love open the door
To your heart"
Many of you know that I was nine weeks pregnant. On a Thursday, Pat and I went to the Dr. for our first appointment. We saw the baby and heard it's beautiful heart beat. The Dr. measured it at 7 weeks. All we know is that there must have been something wrong because the very next day I had a miscarriage. I never knew how awfully painful physically and emotionally it could be. Pat and I were able to get a way for a week. Spending time alone with him was the best choice we made. I'm not quite sure what I am supposed to learn from this trial. But I have learned the power of prayer and love. Every time someone has expressed their love for me I have felt the spirit, and even though it makes me cry, it is wonderfully comforting. I am so grateful for all of your love and support, I couldn't have done it alone.

Cali Cousins

Last weekend my Californian cousins came to visit for a ski trip. This pic was taken outside Red Rock (one of my fav's). I love this pic because I can't help but smile everytime I see it. Thanks Krystin, Maria and Michael for hanging out with us, it was a lot of fun.
